Kid's Talk

Till today I was under the impression that I am spending good quality time with kids once they are back home. We eat together and then go to play Badminton or Table-tennis almost everyday. I always want to go for walk in the evening and miss it for my children. Until Yesterday Ajay made me realise this...

I was getting ready to play Badminton with Ajay and when I reached near the badminton court, suddenly my phone rang, it was a call from Airtel to get the feedback on the services they are providing. I just gave an excuse of being busy and put my phone off. Ajay started dancing and I questioned him the reason. To my utter surprise, he answered 'I never thought I am that important for you that you disconneced your call by saying that you're busy' I smiled and realised that I take the calls everytime it rings...it is not that important but still we talk to our friends, relatives and general calls too...We never realise that kids are waiting and might be feeling unimportant. That moment I promised to myself to curtail my talk if I am doing something important with my children.

Kids teach us a lot :)

Kids are important but they have to understand that parents have their private space as well as time too. I feel kids these days are dictating too much as to what we must do and when, as if the husbands were not enough :)

Yes, you are absolutely right. But as we teach them to respect other's privacy. We should also respect the time we allocate for them exclusively, unless some unavoidable circumstances are there. Sometimes we don't realise that the child is waiting for us and we are busy on the phone.
